Our Story
Founded in 2020, the Jets Elite are based out of SportsCare Arena and provide a solution for players and families alike looking for a quality program at a reasonable price. Too many programs are overcharging players in New Jersey and not delivering a quality product. As a result, Black Bear Sports Group founded the Jets Elite after acquiring SportsCare in 2019.
Jets Elite
The Jets Elite are a unique youth hockey concept based on maximizing player ice time, exposure to elite competition playing a AAA schedule and offering the most practice ice in the region. Jets teams have the unique opportunity to practice three times per week and only play competitive, hand-picked games (estimated total ice time is 200+ hours). Teams play a thoughtfully crafted schedule consisting of showcases and competitive games that will maximize opportunities for player development and minimize redundant, lop-sided games and associated travel. Our Elite teams play a minimum of 45 games throughout the season and experience rigorous skills and conditioning training on bye weekends, in addition to the three weeknight practices per week. We are a model based on player development and core team sports values. Our programs are professionally run by full-time employees and our facilities are exceptional. Black Bear Sports Group (BBSG) was founded in 2015 to purchase aging ice rinks and bring much-needed capital to rehabilitate arenas and replace mechanical equipment. As a result, hockey and ice skating thrive in our rinks which are safe and fun environments for the local communities we serve.
